Back After A break

Slimming wold KFC!!

Yes, its true! there is a SW version of KFC chicken!!
Syn Free KFC
10 x Chicken Drummers or 4 Chicken Breasts
1 x Tub Chicken Bovril Paste
1 x Egg
1 x Clove of Garlic crushed (optional if you dont like garlic)
2 x Teaspoons of Ground Black Pepper (optional)
2 x Teaspoons of Mixed Spice (optional)
1 x Teaspoon of mild chilli powder (optional)
4 x Slices brown bread
2 x Teaspoons mixed herbes
Method
Place chicken drummers/chicken breasts in a deep pan fill with water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 mins. Drain and leave to cool. When cool remove the skin and pat dry. Cut chicken breasts into strips.
Place the bread and mixed herbes into a food processor and blend until crumbled and empty onto a large dish. Scoop out all the bovril paste into a small bowl. Mix in the egg, crushed garlic, pepper, spice and chilli until you have a gloopy paste.
Now for the fun bit, but before you start switch on the oven to its highest setting and have a baking tray sprayed with fry light on stand by. Using a spoon carefully dribble the paste all over a chicken drummer/strip then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture and place on the baking tray. Repeat until all the drummers/strips are covered.
Place the chicken in the oven and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until the breadcrumbs have started to go brown and crisp. Remove and leave to cool. Once cool transfer to a serving plate.


wonderful hot or cold and great this time of year for BBQ's and picnics :D

Fish and Chip SW style!

So, for the first time in month i went to farmfoods the other day and picked up a pack for 6 frozen fish flittes for about £3 which i have to say is not a bad deal, the where alaskain Pollcus and rather tasty :D The other night i walked passed a chip shop and all i wanted was fish and chips, i could not get the taste out of my mouth so when i got hime, i desided to have a bash at making low syn Fish and Chips.

I Used one slice or brown bread from the HEX B and some parcly, and stuck in a food prosser until it was bread crumbs.
I defrosted a fish fillet and left it in some lemon juice and black pepper for about half an hour.
At the same time i did my Syn free chips (2-3 potatos cut into think chips) on an oven try sprayed with frylight on a high heat for about 25 mins
After 25 mins i turned the chips, coated the fish with egg and then rolled in the bread crumbs until evenly coated and put into the oven of about 20 mins until the chips were ready!
Total Syns= 3 (or half HEX B)

Served with a portion of beans and mmmmm it was jsut the taste i was looking for! so i now know a quick and easy alternitive to something that would blow my Syns thought the roof!!

Giant Jaffa Cake!!!!!

MMMMMMMM

Serisouly yummy for a first try! and so easy to make too! today is clearly the day of easy but very tasty food!!

I have to admit, it went a little wonky this time round, but i shall make another at the weekend and then get some pictues of it up :D

All you need is

1x Tesco/Adas 200g flan base!
2x sugar free oranger jelly
35-60g of chocolate (melted)

I ended up useing 100g's of chocolate for mine beucase of my slight mishap with the jelly so it ended up about 54 syns, but if i had stuck to it, it would have only been about 45 for the whole thing!

So all you do is make up the 2 jellys with about a pint less water than needed (i think about 1.5 pints over all), poured in to a bowl with cling film under the jelly so it will life out easy (thats the bit i missed), stick it in the friend and let it set, then take it out and put it on top of the flan base. melt the chocolate and spread it over the top and stick it back in the fridge until it set and Hey PResto! Giant Jaffa Cake :D

Mmmm BBQ chicken!!

Mmmmmm jsut had a wonderful dinner, i honestly dont think i could have ift any more on my plate if i had tried! I had Chicken coverd in Syn free BBQ sauce and my HEXA portion of cheese on top, with a huge pile of syn free chips, 2 mini corn on the cob and some peas! then a nice wedge of giant jaffa cake for pudding!! I an stuffed full at a grand totaly for 4.5 syns for the whole lot i am rather pleased!

The BBQ sauce is so quick and tasty its just

1 Small onion (i use red)- chopped
350g Passata
4tbsp of sweetner
3tbsp of balsamic vinigar
1tbsp of wostshier sauce
1tsp of chilli powder
1/2tsp of mustard powder

And all you do i fry the onion until its a little brown when bung everything else in and her presto! BBQ sauce reday for anything :D

8.5 lbs off!!!!

YAY!!! Feeling rather good today! Just had my WI and i had lost 8.5lbs! To be fair i did put on 4.5 last week, but i lost that and almost double IT! :D

Soo as a treat to myself i am making the SW giant Jaffa Cake :)

Slipped Disc

all i can say is OUCH!

I went to the doctor this morning and turns out i have a minor slipped dics in my lower spine!
He signed me off work right then and there for 10 days to start with and i have to go back after that. so in some ways, very bad, i can;t work, do zumba or any other stressful exersize, hell i can harldy bend over! but i am on a codine based painkiller which is helping, althought i feel like i am living in a bubble!

The only plus side i can see is that, the last time i was off work for 10 days i managewd to loose 6lbs that week, so it might be good for the diet front, being stuck at hom with my free food :D

ZUMBA!!

So, for those that dont know, Zumba is a sort of dance/workout class, 3 quid a week for an hour session, and wow is it good :D it was really for everyone of all levels, you could do as much or as little as you wanted. it was a mix of a load of differnt kind of dances, and it was truly so much fun :D i would defo reccomend it to everyone trying to lose weight :D

Still loosing :D

Another pound gone this week and still feeling good. Though i am starting to loose my concentration a little, i have been syning more than i really should but i just have to get my head back into a good place. i think with the combo for my work shutting down, trying to find a new job and all the extra work i am having to do, i am fidning less and less time for myself. In class today Susan, my consualtant was talking about having to put my self first and that is going to be the key to a good weight loss, so i am going to try that this week :) i am not going to buy sweets for everyone else at work, i am not going to give up my free food to my little brother just cause it looks better then the prossed rubbish he is eating and i am going to give myself time to try new recipys beucase i haven't had something new in a few week. i have found one of KFC style chicken which i think would be just awesome, so on payday on friday i am going to but everyhtin i need for that and give it a go :)

2 stone gone :D

And my good mood from last week continues into this week. :d i lost 1.5lbs which bring my grand total up to a round 2 stone :D so i am feeling rather happy again today :D i know in my head that i have another 170lbs to go which is a hell of a lot, but its comming of slow and stead which i know is the best way. so for now, instead of focuing on the big goal, i am making myself lots of mini goals to keep me motivated. my newest one is that i am going shopping with an old frined in a few week and i haven;t seen her since before i started this plan. so i am really hoping that she see a differeance :)

back in the swing :D

so for 3 weeks i stayed the same, and that really got me down. i started to cheat myself, sneeking little things here and there. sweets at work extra crips and such. i didn;t feel good. and finally i managed to snap myself into the thinking "What the hell! this is not helping! get back on the wagon" so i have 4 solid days of Nothing but free food! and wouldn;t you know it i lost 3 lbs :D and i got that feeling back. that buzz you get when you think thats 3 block of butter off my body and gone for ever. so now i an just 2 lbs off 2 stone :D which in 3 months is quite amazing and now i am down into the next stone, so i am not longer 23 stone somthing, now i am 22 stone something which is actually a pretty good feeling :D

Wii!

Sadly i missed class this week. i burned my hand pretty badly at work and was really not up to going. but i have stuck to the plan and i think i am doing quite well. i haven;t really been eating alot of free food this week but i am aware of it and i am trying to change that.


On the plus Side i just bought a nintendo Wii! and wii fit!! i have had a quite go on some of the exersizes and its sooo much fun! so i have set myself a challange that over the month i was to do about 8 hours on it, maybe more if i get the chance :D even 10 mins a day i think will really help with the weigt loss.

6lbs off!


WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
6lbs off in one week! over the moon is the understatement of the year :D and i got slimmer of that week again and i got my stone and a half award, brining my total weight loss to 1 stone 9 lbs :D
After a one pound gain 2 weeks ago and a one pound loss last week i was feeling a but stuck in a rut so i really just pushed myself over this last week. i tried 4 or 5 new resipies and had a practicaley sin free week and was so happy when i stepped on the scales today :D so i'm going to try and have another week up to the same standerd. i was off work last week which really helped becuase i had time to cook properly but now that i am back again, i am going to have to try extra hard to be good, and not nibble all the time when i am there! or if i do, i will just have to syn for it. but for now i am going to enjoy my day off and make my favourite dinner at the moment of speical fried rice from the world of flavours book and plan out the rest of my week :D

3lbs off and slimmer of the week :D


What a feeling :D:D:D:D

i have not been is this good a mood since...i can't remember when!
another 3lbs off and slimmer of the week for the second time. the whole class today ws so supportive and i just felt on top of the world :D
and i have just smashed my record for weightloss on any pervious diets by a clear 4 lbs. so i got another sticker to add to my book and a lovely big bag of food :D.
I know it was not the best idea for a celebration, but i went out for lunch with a friend, had veg soup to start (good) had salmon with a jaket potato and salad for mains (good) and a huge slab of chocoalte fudge cake for desert with ice cream (very very very very bad lol) but at this stage i am thinking, i am human, and there are going to be some weeks that i am going to gain weight or stay the same and i am now understanding thats ok. i am in this for the long run, not just the short tearm and in that time i will have gains. so the long and short of it is, i wanted fugde cake, i enjoyed it very much! i wont be doing it again fro a while and i am right back on the wagon with 0 guilt beucase i know its not the end of the world if a put on a pound becuase of it next week :)

i do have 2 more nights out in the next week but i know i will be good on them becuase i have had my fill of sugar for about the next month or so :D

Mmmm soup!


I have been stricking down with a cold over the weekend! thankfully i have been off work and managed to get plently of rest and i think i am on the mend! :D

no idea how it will affect the scales on tuesday but i have been very good all week so i am hoping that will balance it out :D

anyway, all i wanted today was tomato soup! but the stuff out of a can in CRAZY bad, so i desided to make my own!
I dont like to blow my own horn but BUGGER ME it was GOOOOOOD! lol

All i did way fry a red onion, a touch of garlic and some chicken stock, simmerd for 15 mins then added a can of tomatos and some everyday spice, simmered for another 15, added a teaspoon of splenda, blizted it with a hand mixer and served with low fat cheese on toast with a slice of ham

:D just a shame i only had one tin of tomatos or i would be right back in the kitchen making more :D

WOOHOO!

First stone gone gone gone for good! :D after putting on a pound and a half last week i was so down hearted but i didn't dropped the ball, i worked hard at getting back and track and clearly it worked with a 4 pound weightloss this week :D i could not be happier just now :D and i am totally motivated again for next week :D

so total weight loss so far of 1st and a 1/2 pound :D

aslo, i have joined a 12 week community weightloss challange, and i am setting myself the target of another stone and a half in that time. i think in 12 weeks, if keep going as i am, this will be no problem :D. i think i might post some recipes up here too :D

Happy Love day!


ok, so i do actualy kinda hate valeintines day but what the heck! Just been checking out some sucess stories and vids on the Smilling world website and that has really put me in a great frame of mind today! i am looking forward to a positive week :)
i just tried a visualtion test, where i had to make a picture in my mind of what i want to look like and keep looking at it in my head everytime i start getting tempted or i start loosing heart.
and since the better weather is on its way i have looked out my Poi, and i am going to get out side at least 10 mins and a day and do some dancing with them! i think this is really going to help shead of the pounds!

Back on track

Today has been much better. i made some free ice cream which was rather yummy! and had a nice veg packs stir-fry for dinner. so hopfully i not put on for my 2 bad days and maybe loose even just a little. a pound is still a pound, even if i stay the same this weeks i will be happy.

Hmmm i should really get some followers for this, i feel like i am talking to myself!

Getting better

today was so much better than the last 2 have been, i hardly ate anthing i shouldn't have and i went shopping and got in plenty of things to snack on that are part of the plan instead of sweet! thankfully i have the weekend off work so i won't have the chance to eat things that i shouldn;t there and i can plan my days much better at home with plently of free food in the fridge.

Bad day :(

I really don't know why, but am i really finding it hard to stick to my plans these last 2 days, i can't help but nibbing on thing that i really should be! things like sweeties at work and just bits an peices of things that i am not really ment to have! there is that little voice inside my head telling me not to, and i know it is going to damage my chances of loosing weight this week if i keep going like this, but sadly the bigger little voice keep telling me to do it! so i am defitnly back on the wagon now! i am going to write down everything i have and i am going to keep my snacking in check and eat more of what i am ment to. its only thursday and i have till next tuesday to go before i am back on those scales so i have plenty of time to fix this frame of mind. i refuse to undo the good work i have done so far! here hoping when i post again, thing will be looking up.

5lbs off!

that right! a whole 5 lbs in one week!
i was shocked as hell when i stood on thoses scales this morning! so just 2 more pounds next week and i will have hit my first stone in just over a month! UNREAL!!
i also one the slimmer of the week award so i got a whole big basket of free food all for myself! and i treated myself to a new dvd!
i used to have the mind frame of "oh i have done good! i will have a pizza!" so i am trying to break myself of that and go for other things instead and i thought a new dvd would be a good way forward!
so now planning a holiday with a good friend of mine, i might not be bikini matrieal for a good year or to yet! but at least i know i will be feeling my better about myself come may when we go! espically if i can shift even another stone by then! thought it this rate i might even make it to 2 :D happy days!!!!

Hello world!

Well this is it!, i'm biteing the bullet! for the last 6 years i have been Massivley and i mean MASSIVELY over-weight and now i am sick of myself. So i have desided to make dramatic changes to the way i live so i can be happier with who i am...

i am only 21, and as of yet, i feel i have missed out on alot of thing that i would otherwise loved to have done due to my weight. so making a change for the better now is going to give me the rest of my life to enjoy the world!

and so i have desided to blog my journy!

I am useing the slimming world plan and i am going to the group once a week. thus far i have lost half a stone in 3 weeks and long my it contiune!
